Congratulations to the three latest PhDs to emerge from our program: John Bunke already successfully defended his dissertation in late September. Written under the supervision of Gurpreet Rattan, it was titled “Metaphysics in Context.” More recently, Jack Beaulieu passed his thesis defense with flying colours on November 29, 2022. He had written his dissertation, titled “Absence in Nyāya and Mīmāṃsā.” And on December 1, 2022, Seyed Yarandi brought his doctoral studies to a successful close by defending “Moral Words: Masks for Many Faces,” also written with Gurpreet Rattan as supervisor. Congratulations to all three freshly minted PhDs. You make the department proud, and we look forward to watching you forge ahead on your future paths.
