Congratulations to Nick Stang, who has just been awarded a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Metaphysics and its History. He is one of 34 new Canada Research Chairs at the University of Toronto. The announcement was made on February 9 by Kirsty Duncan, the federal minister of science.
Nick’s project will reexamine Immanuel Kant’s criticism of metaphysics and apply Kantian arguments to contemporary metaphysics to understand better the nature of metaphysical questions and how to answer them.
