How to Submit an Application

The Department of Philosophy at the University of Toronto Mississauga may hire Sessional Lecturers to deliver some of its undergraduate courses. To be considered for a position, an application and Curriculum Vitae must be submitted to:

General Information

Generally speaking, we expect to make decisions concerning courses in March and April for Winter, Fall and Spring courses, and in December and January for Summer courses. However, some decisions may be made earlier or later than these time frames, depending on circumstances. Unexpected vacancies may arise at any time.

Applications will be retained for 24 months. Persons who submit applications and CVs will receive emailed job postings for specific positions for the subsequent 36 months.

This notice is posted pursuant to the CUPE Local 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement. Please note that in accordance with that agreement, preference in hiring is given to qualified persons holding the rank of Sessional Lecturer 2.

Sessional Instructional Assistant

How to Submit an Application

The Department of Philosophy may hire Sessional Instructional Assistants (SIAs) to assist in the delivery of some of its undergraduate courses. Specific courses will be posted on the Department of Philosophy website and on the CUPE bulletin board in the North Bldg. at the University of Toronto Mississauga.

To be considered for a position in a philosophy course, an application must be submitted to:

To be considered for a position, applicants must submit:
1. A CUPE Unit 3 Application Form
2. A CV of no more than 3 pages.

Please do not submit additional materials unless requested to do so.
