The Socrates Project is a departmental initiative that allows exceptional senior undergraduate students to become teaching assistants for PHL101H5. The Project has been run on our St. George campus for some time now, and was recently launched at U of T’s Mississauga campus as well.

In the Project, selected senior undergraduate students undertake duties including leading tutorial groups and related preparation and activities, grading student work, attending PHL101H5 lectures, meeting with the Course Instructor/Socrates Project Facilitator as required, and attending TA training sessions.

The Socrates Project seminar and tutorial leaders at UTM in the 2017-2018 academic year celebrated a successful year of teaching and learning over dinner with TA Coordinator Belinda Piercy and Professor Sergio Tenenbaum. We thank our dedicated and brilliant senior undergraduates for their tutorship of their peers this past term at UTM Philosophy! We look forward to another productive year of running the Socrates Project at UTM.
