Philosophy Writing Centre

What is the Philosophy Writing Centre?

The Philosophy Writing Centre is a service offered to all students in PHL courses who require some one-on-one help with any philosophical writing assignments. All levels of writers looking for any kind of feedback are welcome at the Philosophy Writing Centre, whether you’re looking for general writing advice, clarification about assignment instructions, help brainstorming, or feedback on an outline or draft. Even if you’re not working on an essay, you’re also welcome to discuss writing strategies for in-class assignments.

The clinician is most helpful when an essay is in its initial stages and there is a rough draft. A last minute visit to Writing Centre right before a deadline is of very little value.

Who is it for?

The Writing Centre services are available to any undergraduate student enrolled in a PHL course on the St. George campus. The clinician will review papers from PHL-designated courses only.

When does it run?

The Philosophy Writing Centre will run on Mondays from 9:00am-12:00pm, Tuesdays from 11:00am-2:00pm and Thursdays from 12:00-3:00pm.

During busy periods, we may offer additional timeslots.
